The Home Builders Association of Greater Grand Rapids (HBAGGR) members include a variety of award-winning and innovative builders, designers and residential trades service professionals - all located in West Michigan. These caring, kind, and passionate individuals are also dedicated to the communities they serve.
Throughout the Foundation's 28 year history, members pulled together to construct a wide variety of projects, despite an economic downturn. More than 600 wheelchair ramps and critical electrical, plumbing, and home repairs have been completed through Community Repair Days, a unique partnership with the Home Repair Services of Kent County and Disability Advocated. Hundreds of thousands of dollars in lumber, nails, and other building materials are donated annually while members volunteer their time to construct the ramps and complete the repairs.
The HBA Foundation continues to empower the next generation. Whether they are looking to go into the skilled trades, work for a builder, or own their own company, the support and tools to get started will be there. We know the residential construction industry is a great place to make a mark on the world. Since 1990, members have awarded more than $150, 000 in scholarships.
