Annual Fall Parade of homes exceeds 2012 traffic numbers with two days left to tour – Names Awards of Excellence winners

Those around West Michigan are flocking to the 2013 Fall Parade of Homes presented by the Home Builders Association and sponsored by Option 1 Credit Union.  With the Parade set to continue through this weekend, attendance numbers have already surpassed 2012 numbers.  The Parade continues Wednesday, Friday and Saturday October 16 – 19 from 1- 8 pm.  The HBA of Greater Grand Rapids and their members are showcasing 36 new homes, throughout West Michigan.

“Traffic has been amazing; we are seeing many families looking to connect with a builder to create their dream home. The builders are showcasing the latest ideas and trends, in styles from modern to traditional” says Emily Siebert, HBAGGR Executive Officer.   “It is definitely an encouraging sign the home building industry is making its way back.”

Over  20,000 tours have been conducted through the Parade homes from 11 different communities including, Ada, Allendale, Belmont, Byron Center, Caledonia, East Grand Rapids, Grand Rapids, Hudsonville, Rockford, South Haven, and Wyoming, with prices ranging from $150,000 to over $2 million.

The Home Builders Association of Greater Grand Rapids (HBAGGR) and Cosmopolitan Home Magazine are pleased to announce the Awards of Excellence for the 2013 Fall Parade of Homes.  The Awards of Excellence program recognizes Parade home builders in a variety of categories and various price ranges.

Judged by a panel of a dozen industry experts, the Awards of Excellence are highly sought after by the Parade of Homes participants.

Sponsored by WCSG, tickets are available online at mygrhome.com, at all Option One Credit Unions locations and at each home during the tour.  Admission into tour home is $10 for adults ages 13 and up when purchased online or at Option One Credit Union, and $12 when purchased at the homes. Children 12 & under are admitted free.
